It was a day that I will never forget…and I know, every bride says this, but June the 9th will never be forgotten.
The day began with the flash of a bulb. Not that I hadn’t from six that morning begun to make preparations, or that my family and I hadn’t over the course of the weekend snapped multiple pictures of our own, but Mr. Barboza’s camera was the waking moment to that day, to the urgency and the beauty and the intricate finality of it.
From that very first flash to the ending credits to the evening, Mr. Barboza made himself indispensable. I believe what makes a phenomenal photographer is his ability to transcend expectations, the commonality of events, in order to address and bring out the poetry in every frame. Mr. Barboza has showed himself exemplary in this way. The joy, laughter and love experienced on that day were reflected in every photograph. Mr. Barboza was like no other. Words cannot adequately express how thankful we are to have had him present with us. He is a gentleman of great character, charm and charisma, and an artist brimming with style. To that fact, I recommend him highly and without reservation.

Mike and I were married on August 2nd, 2008 in Lake Tahoe. Joe traveled 8+ hours to photograph our wedding. In three words…Joe was amazing! Joe was there every step of the way. If there was an opportunity for a beautiful photo, he was right there capturing the moment. All of our guests are still raving about Joe’s efficiency and professionalism. We would recommend Joe to anyone who wants a talented, attentive and accommodating photographer. He was personable and by the end of the wedding he felt like part of the family.

Hello Joe,
I must confess that I am so thankful that I made the decision to have you photograph our event---as you ended up being more than the guy taking pictures! You were very personable and dynamic as you interacted with our guests, instantly putting our family and friends at ease with both you and your cameras. Futhermore, Ron and I enjoyed your company and your individual contributions to our party. We are looking forward to seeing the pictures that capture the highlights of our 35th Wedding Anniversary.
